Staff Accountant

Job Description

Insight Global is looking to add a Staff Accountant to join their fire, life safety and security services client’s accounting team. This person will be responsible for supporting day-to-day accounting operations, including preparing and posting journal entries, maintaining accurate general ledger records, and assisting with month-end close activities. They will perform account reconciliations, support financial reporting, process and manage tax-related documentation and filings, respond to tax notices and correspondence, and assist with Accounts Payable functions such as invoice processing and vendor inquiries. They will also support audit activities, ensure compliance with accounting policies and procedures, analyze financial data to identify and resolve discrepancies, and leverage Excel for account analysis, reconciliations, and reporting. This position requires a highly organized professional who can manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment while maintaining a high level of accuracy and attention to detail.

Skills and Requirements

- 3-5 years of accounting experience

- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or related field

- Strong understanding of general accounting principles (GAAP) and month-end close processes

- Experience supporting tax preparation and compliance activities

- Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel, including formulas, pivot tables, and data analysis

- Experience with ERP systems; NetSuite experience is a plus

- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
