Medical Surgical / Telemetry Unit - Travel Registered Nurse - $2160 per week.

Shift: 7:00 PM - 7:30 AM

Experience:

• 24 months of experience with 3 months worked in the last 12 months.

• 24 months of Medical Surgical / Telemetry Unit experience.

• 24 months of travel experience is required.

• 3 months of Epic experience is required.

Requirements:

• Candidates must have a Massachusetts license (required for submission).

• This role may require floating to additional units and locations

• Local & travel allowed. Candidates living <60 miles from facility will be processed as local.

• Flu vaccination required for submission. Declinations not accepted.

• 12 months gap required between for Staff at Program: Mass General Brigham Incorporated (Direct) - Main Program and no current placement allowed at Program: Mass General Brigham Incorporated (Direct) - Main Program.

Additional Details:

Required Skills/Experience: - Minimum of 2 years working in one location and 2 years working as a traveler. - Knowledge of cardiac drips and ability to interpret tele strips.

Preferred Skills/Experience: - Nursing care for patients post-cardiac catheterization and pacemaker is needed but not required.

Required Credentials: - Contingent/temp licensure is not accepted.

Unit Details: - Patients may be admitted from the ED, transferred from other units, or directly admitted by a physician. - Cares for patients on Cardizem, Nitroglycerin, Lasix, and Heparin drips, including NSTEMI, post-pacemaker, and post-cardiac cath lab patients. - Primary diagnoses include CHF, atrial fibrillation, pulmonary embolism, and pneumonia. Also cares for patients with EtOH, dementia with cardiac co-morbidities, and occasional surgical patients. - RN to patient ratio on day and evening shifts is 1:4 with max of 5; night shift is 1:5-6. Day shift on weekdays includes a charge RN without a patient assignment.

Shift & Scheduling: - Every other weekend. - This role is a rotating shift.

14 days maximum time off

1 Charge/Lead reference required from within the last 2 years
