School-Based Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) | Gettysburg, Pennsylvania

Key Qualifications:

• Active Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) or LVN licensure in Pennsylvania
• Experience providing nursing care in pediatric, school, or similar settings preferred
• Flexibility to work across more than one school location (sites within 10 minutes of each other)
• Ability to collaborate effectively with existing nursing staff and adapt to varying student needs
• Strong communication, organizational, and time-management skills

Position Responsibilities:

• Deliver daily nursing assistance in the school health office, supporting the head school nurse with medical and administrative duties
• Provide general health support and attend to students' immediate medical needs and chronic care management
• Step in as substitute 1:1 support for two students if primary aides are absent-including working with a student requiring diabetic care (in collaboration with the nurse)
• Maintain accurate student health records and follow all district procedures
• Build rapport with students, faculty, and families to ensure a nurturing, safe school environment
