Financial Reporting Analyst

The Financial Reporting Analyst is responsible for preparing analysis of the organization's financial results. Through financial modeling, this job provides insights into the company's financial status, including cash flow, accounts receivable, accounts payable, debt, equity, operating income, working capital, etc. Under moderate supervision, this job's analysis and modeling is used by senior management to inform business and financial decisions. Key Responsibilities And Duties Assists in preparing financial models and calculating key metrics that analyze monthly financial results in order to identify drivers and explain key variances. Assists with completing forecasts and modeling and ensures that results are timely and accurate. Assists with completing re-forecasting activities and updating/evolving forecast models. Participates in general ledger analysis during the closing process to help ensure that financial statements are accurate. Supports the preparation of ad hoc departmental reports that analyze departmental financial results versus budget/forecasts. Drafts financial reports and presentations for management that inform business and financial decisions. Seeks guidance from management regarding challenges that require more advanced knowledge. Assists with the preparation of monthly, quarterly and annual financial reports in compliance with GAAP and regulatory standards. Assists with the execution of controls to ensure the accuracy of financial reporting. Minimum Qualifications 2 years of prior experience in an accounting or finance role Strong working knowledge of SEC and U.S. GAAP and financial statement preparation Preferred Qualifications Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field 3+ years of progressive experience in financial reporting, accounting, or public accounting Experience supporting external audits and working with auditors Solid understanding of internal controls and SOX requirements Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel; experience preparing executive-level presentations (PowerPoint or similar) Previous experience with an enterprise reporting tool - Workiva is a plus Demonstrated ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines in a regulated environment Educational Requirements University (Degree) Preferred Physical Requirements Physical Requirements: Sedentary Work Career Level 6IC $69,700 - $94,300 , EverBank, N.A. is a nationwide specialty bank providing high-value products and services to consumer and commercial clients nationwide.
