In this role, you'll be responsible for safely operating extrusion lines and related equipment, optimizing productivity, and ensuring the highest quality standards. This is a hands-on position where you'll troubleshoot issues, perform quality checks, and support continuous improvement initiatives. What You'll Do
- Operate extrusion equipment (extruders, saws, blenders, etc.) in line with SOPs and safety standards.
- Perform basic troubleshooting and adjustments to resolve processing issues.
- Record and maintain accurate production records, run sheets, and quality checks.
- Operate blending and inspection equipment, including Unidyne, Megablender, Maguire Blenders, and Ultrasonic scope.
- Manage annealing requirements-load, unload, and anneal products according to SOPs.
- Conduct visual inspections of tooling and perform minor maintenance as needed.
- Support continuous improvement, quality, and safety initiatives.
- Assist with equipment setups, rod and plate size/material changes, and scrap disposition.
- Train apprentice extrusion operators and assist maintenance/engineering teams as needed.
- Maintain a clean, safe, and organized work area following 5S standards.
- Safely operate Powered Motor Vehicles (PMVs).
- High school diploma or equivalent required.
- 2+ years of experience in a manufacturing facility (extrusion experience preferred).
- Ability to read and follow SOPs, Work Instructions, Job Safety Analysis, and safety data sheets.
- Strong mechanical aptitude and basic troubleshooting skills.
- Comfortable using measuring equipment (tape measure, micrometers, UT, surface roughness tools).
- Computer literacy and good communication skills.
- Physically able to perform job requirements safely.
- Stable work history preferred.
