Description: FLOAT POOL POSITION - Candidates must be cleared on float units and demonstrate flexibility in scheduling. Candidates with one year of experience are preferred; first-time travelers are accepted. The position involves caring for adults to geriatrics. The primary floating required is in ICU, but floating to other units is necessary. Patient ratios are typically 1:2-3 in ICU, 1:4-5 in PCU, and 1:5-6 in medical/surgical units. Experience with the Epic charting system is required. Preferred skills include managing ports, ventilators, blood product administration, and monitoring ICP. Interdisciplinary support includes teams such as IV, physical therapy, respiratory services, and pharmacy. Travelers are expected to work one major holiday during the assignment period. Compliance is required for all onboarding items, including labs and modules, prior to starting.
