Commercial HVAC Estimator

Commercial Hvac EstimatorENCON Heating & Air Conditioning is seeking an experienced and detail-oriented Commercial HVAC Estimator to join our growing team. The Commercial HVAC Estimator plays a critical role in the pre-construction process by preparing accurate and competitive estimates for commercial heating, ventilation, and air conditioning projects.The ideal candidate possesses strong technical knowledge of commercial HVAC systems, excellent analytical skills, and the ability to collaborate effectively with project managers, vendors, subcontractors, and customers to ensure successful project outcomes.Requirements:Prepare detailed cost estimates for commercial HVAC projects, including labor, materials, equipment, subcontractors, and other project-related expenses.Review drawings, specifications, bid documents, and project requirements to accurately determine project scope.Perform quantity takeoffs and develop comprehensive project estimates.Solicit and evaluate vendor and subcontractor quotations to ensure competitive pricing.Identify value engineering opportunities and cost-saving solutions while maintaining project quality and performance standards.Collaborate with project managers, engineers, field personnel, and leadership throughout the estimating process.Prepare and submit bid proposals in accordance with project requirements and deadlines.Maintain organized records of estimates, bids, contracts, and project documentation.Stay current with industry trends, HVAC technologies, market conditions, and pricing fluctuations.Assist with project handoffs to operations teams following contract award.Requirements:Minimum of 5 years of estimating experience preferred, with a focus on commercial HVAC projects.Strong understanding of commercial HVAC systems, equipment, ductwork, piping, controls, and related construction practices.Ability to read and interpret blueprints, specifications, schedules, and technical documents.Experience performing material takeoffs and developing detailed project estimates.Proficiency with estimating software and toolsExcellent analytical, mathematical, and problem-solving abilities.Strong communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to work effectively in a team environment.Exceptional organizational and time management skills with the ability to manage multiple bids and deadlines simultaneously.Self-motivated, detail-oriented, and committed to delivering accurate results.Eligibility Requirements:Valid driver's license and reliable transportation required.Employment and education verification required.Applicants must be authorized to work in the United States on a full-time basis.ENCON is a drug-free workplace and requires post-offer pre-employment drug testing.Benefits include: Career Advancement Opportunities; Paid Training; Competitive Salary; Medical, Dental, and Vision Insurance; Health Savings Account (HSA); Health Flexible Spending Account (FSA); Dependent Care Flexible Spending Account (DFSA); 401K Savings Plan; Life/AD&D Insurance; Voluntary Supplemental Life Insurance; Voluntary Long-Term Disability; Employee Assistance Program; Rewards and discounts; Gym Membership Discount; Paid Time OffEncon Heating & AC complies with applicable Federal civil rights laws and does not discriminate on the basis of race, color, national origin, age, disability, or sex.
