This position is responsible for performing advanced accounting functions, including preparing and reviewing journal entries, reconciling general ledger accounts, and assisting with the preparation and analysis of financial statements. The role involves working with accounting software to ensure accurate recording of financial transactions, monitoring compliance with internal controls and regulatory requirements, and supporting month‑end and year‑end closing activities. The Accounting Specialist III will collaborate with finance team members to resolve discrepancies, provide analytical support for management reports, and contribute to process improvements that enhance efficiency and data integrity. Qualifications Strong proficiency in preparing and analyzing financial statements and applying core finance principles. Hands‑on experience with accounting software and systems, including general ledger and reporting tools. Demonstrated ability to prepare, review, and reconcile journal entries (accounting) accurately and timely. Advanced analytical skills with the ability to interpret financial data, identify variances, and recommend solutions. Solid understanding of GAAP and standard accounting practices in a financial services or banking environment. Excellent attention to detail, organizational skills, and ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines. Effective written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to collaborate across teams and departments. Associate or bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field; relevant certifications are a plus.
