Base pay range $65,000.00/yr - $75,000.00/yr Senior Search Director, Murray Professional A leading provider of midstream and marketing solutions is seeking an Accounting Specialist to maintain accurate financial records and support accounting operations. The ideal candidate is a detail‑oriented professional with strong GAAP knowledge and QuickBooks experience. Working directly under the Controller, the new hire will manage month‑end close and general ledger tasks by tracking expenses and allocations while supporting financial reporting and process improvements. Location: The Woodlands, TX Type of Position: Direct Hire Responsibilities Prepare and post journal entries, reconcile balance sheet and income statement accounts. Manage vendor payables and customer receivables, employee expenses, and credit card reconciliations. Support month‑end and year‑end close activities, including financial package preparation. Assist with intercompany accounting, fixed asset tracking, and capital project reporting. Review and verify expense submissions via Expensify and ensure proper coding. Maintain documentation for audits and ensure compliance with internal accounting policies. Partner with the Controller on cash flow analysis, budgeting, and financial planning. Support process improvements and assist in potential migration from QuickBooks to Oracle. Requirements 4+ years of hands‑on accounting experience, ideally in energy, infrastructure, or project‑based environments Strong understanding of full‑cycle accounting and internal controls Proficient in QuickBooks and Microsoft Excel Experience with Expensify or comparable expense systems Proven ability to prioritize, self‑manage, and meet deadlines in a fast‑paced environment Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance preferred but not required; CPA track or certification is a plus Due to the high volume of applications we typically receive, we regret that we are not able to personally respond to all applications.
