Our organization, in collaboration with a prominent healthcare system, is on the lookout for a skilled, innovative, and clinically outstanding leader to take on the role of Associate Chief of the Department of Obstetrics and Gynecology . Situated in a lively community, our facility is conveniently reachable via public transport and by car from various locations across New York City, New Jersey, and Long Island.

This essential leadership position is tailored for a proactive physician who is deeply invested in enhancing clinical quality operations, developing programs, and strategically expanding services in women's health.

Leadership & Administration:

• Collaborate closely with the Department Chief to manage all administrative, operational, and clinical functions of the OB/GYN service.

• Offer direct supervision, mentorship, and performance assessments for attending physicians, residents, and mid-level providers.

• Assume the role of Acting Chief to ensure smooth departmental operations in the Chief's absence.

• Lead initiatives aimed at improving departmental quality, patient safety measures, and clinical care standards.

Clinical Excellence & Operations:

• Maintain an active clinical role, delivering a comprehensive range of high-quality obstetric and gynecological services.

• Oversee the coordination of clinical services and workflows (including labor & delivery, outpatient clinics, and operating rooms) to enhance patient care and efficiency.

• Engage in the leadership call rotation to ensure consistent departmental coverage.

• Education: An M.D. or D.O. degree is required.

• Training: Completion of an ACGME-accredited residency program in Obstetrics and Gynecology is essential.

• Licensure & Certification: Must be Board Certified by the American Board of Obstetrics and Gynecology (ABOG) and possess or be eligible for a valid New York State Medical License, DEA registration, and a Medicaid number.

• Experience: Proven leadership experience (e.g., Director, Unit Chief, or committee leadership) in an academic or complex hospital environment. Experience in public health systems is highly desirable.

• Skills: Strong clinical judgment, excellent interpersonal skills, and exceptional communication abilities are crucial for leading diverse multidisciplinary teams.
