Location: Reston VA

Job Type: 6 Month Contract – Possible extension

Required Skills:

• Big data project experience, interacting with hive data
• Health care project experience
• Experience in testing web-based applications.
• Experience in Claims processing and must be familiar with claims processing in healthcare industry. It will be a plus if they have knowledge of Enrolment processing.
• Experience processing claims using the 837 Institutional and Professional HIPAA Transaction.
• Experience in manual and automated testing using HP QuickTest Pro. HP ALM and/or an equivalent tool.
• Strong manual testing with proven SQL writing skills
• Prior work experience in an ETL/Data integration project

Job Description:

1. Accountable for reviewing user requirements and developing comprehensive test scenarios and test cases with pre-determined acceptance criteria.
2. Accountable for determining test data needs and identifying search approaches to retrieve the data.
3. Work independently to execute all test cases and report outcomes in repository with minimal supervision.
4. Accountable for analyzing test and operational problems to determine presence of potential code defects. Reports errors through a structured defect tracking process.
5. Communicate weekly with management verbally and via written detail status report regarding potential problems and concerns.
6. Participates in daily stand up sessions and other team ceremonies to collaborate in the delivery of quality deliverables.

5-8 Years Experience:

• Must demonstrate solid knowledge of Health Care Claims processing.
• Must have knowledge and experience in testing and development life cycle methodologies.
• Experience in testing web based applications.
• Experience in Claims processing and must be familiar with claims processing in healthcare industry. It will be a plus if they have knowledge of Enrolment processing.
• Experience processing claims using the 837 Institutional and Professional HIPAA Transaction.
• Experience in manual and automated testing using HP QuickTest Pro.
• Experience using HP ALM and/or an equivalent tool.
• Must demonstrate strong verbal and written communication skills.
