Main Responsibilities Maintain a visible presence to support a safe and secure store environment for customers, associates, and vendors while delivering excellent customer service Monitor checkout areas and review exception reports to identify fraud, associate dishonesty, and ensure compliance with cash handling policies Conduct surveillance throughout the store to detect theft, safety risks, and operational issues Apprehend individuals committing theft in accordance with company policies and applicable laws, ensuring safety of all parties Respond to electronic article surveillance (EAS) alarms and investigate incidents Monitor receiving and storage areas and conduct delivery audits to detect vendor fraud and ensure procedural compliance Conduct inspections and audits related to shrink control, safety, and physical security standards; document and communicate findings Maintain and operate asset protection equipment, including CCTV, EAS systems, and alarm systems Conduct investigations as directed, including thorough documentation, and partner with store leadership and law enforcement as needed Train and communicate with associates on loss prevention, safety, and compliance practices while identifying and addressing unsafe conditions Soft Skills We are looking for candidates who possess the following: Strong customer service mindset with ability to remain calm and professional in high pressure or confrontational situations Excellent observation and attention to detail Strong communication and interpersonal skills Sound judgment and decision making ability Ability to work independently and as part of a team Competencies Shrink reduction and loss prevention execution Surveillance and incident detection Investigations and documentation Safety compliance and risk mitigation Policy adherence and operational auditing Knowledge Company loss prevention policies and procedures Basic understanding of legal requirements and law enforcement interaction Cash handling practices and POS transaction review Safety, compliance, and operational standards Abilities Strong situational awareness with the ability to quickly assess and respond to safety or security concerns Analytical thinking to identify irregular activity and interpret POS or operational dataSkilled in documenting investigations clearly, accurately, and professionally Comfortable operating, maintaining, and troubleshooting surveillance and security equipment Capable of remaining alert and engaged during extended periods of standing or walking Responds effectively and decisively in emergency or high-risk situations Travel requirements: None Other requirements: Flexible availability including nights, weekends, and holidays; ability to work varied schedules; reliable attendance; adherence to company safety, loss prevention, and conduct policies We Also Provide a Variety Of Benefits Including Competitive wages paid weekly Associate discounts Health and financial well-being benefits for eligible associates (Medical, Dental, 401k and more!)
