Associate Property Manager, Multifamily

Job Description Summary Associate Property Managers are responsible for maintaining our communities to a market-ready standard, ensuring a high level of service at all times. They also build and motivate high-performing teams to maximize property performance. Job Title Associate Property Manager, Multifamily Responsibilities Assist the Regional Property Manager with overall operations of the building. Ensure smooth running of the community in a fast-paced environment. Oversee all operations including maintenance, capital improvements, lease administration, budgeting, forecasting, reporting, collections, evictions, vacancy anticipation, marketing, lease renewals, service contracts, expense control, audits, etc. Provide superior customer service and communication to residents and prospects to enhance satisfaction and increase renewals, revenue, reputation, and profitability. Complete lease/renewal paperwork to company standards. Track and evaluate advertising and client traffic. Lead by example, instill and model the Cushman & Wakefield mission. Supervise day‑to‑day operations of entire on‑site team, ensuring policies and procedures are followed. Interview, hire, and coach staff as necessary. Maintain resident files in accordance with company standards. Maintain a positive living environment through prompt conflict resolution and consistent follow‑up. Manage and maintain all aspects of community budget and finances. Work with leasing staff to ensure goals are met. Competencies Effective communication and customer service skills. Computer literate, including Microsoft Office Suite and internet navigation skills. General office, bookkeeping, and sales skills with excellent oral and written communication. Identify leasing opportunities and set goals to improve staff performance. Supervise day‑to‑day operations of the team, ensuring compliance with policies and procedures. Work with leasing staff to achieve leasing/marketing goals. Manage a team. Perform any related duties as required or assigned. Education Bachelor’s Degree preferred. High School Diploma, GED, technical or vocational school required. Experience 3+ years of Property Management experience. 1+ year of Management experience. Work Environment This job operates in a professional office environment and routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers, phones, photocopiers, filing cabinets, and fax machines. The role may require travel between properties in various weather conditions. Physical Demands The employee may need to travel from floor to floor, climb stairs, and travel between buildings in varying outdoor weather conditions. The employee may also be required to remain stationary (sit or stand) for 85% of the time and use hands to operate office machinery, walk, talk, and hear. Other Duties Other duties, responsibilities, and activities may change or be assigned at any time. Compensation The compensation for the position is: $26.56 - $31.25 per hour.
