Talent Acquisition Specialist

Siskin Steel is seeking a motivated and relationship-driven Talent Acquisition Specialist to join our Human Resources team. Reporting directly to the HR Manager , the Talent Acquisition Specialist will be responsible for managing the full-cycle recruitment process and supporting employee onboarding initiatives. This role will identify, attract, screen, and hire qualified candidates across all company departments. The Talent Acquisition Specialist will oversee recruiting efforts on major job boards and professional networking platforms, including Indeed, LinkedIn, Glassdoor, and other sourcing channels, while ensuring a positive candidate experience from initial contact through onboarding. Essential Duties and Responsibilities Recruitment & Sourcing Manage full-cycle recruiting for assigned positions across the organization. Create, post, and maintain job advertisements on Indeed, LinkedIn, Glassdoor, and other relevant recruiting platforms. Experience managing these platforms is required. Develop innovative sourcing strategies to attract qualified candidates. Build and maintain talent pipelines for current and future hiring needs. Monitor recruiting metrics and hiring trends to improve recruitment effectiveness. Collaborate with hiring managers to understand staffing requirements and position qualifications. Candidate Screening & Interviewing Review resumes and applications to identify qualified candidates. Conduct initial candidate screenings and video interviews. Coordinate interviews between candidates and hiring managers. Hiring & Offer Management Extend employment offers and facilitate candidate acceptance. Ensure all hiring documentation is completed accurately and timely. Maintain applicant tracking system (ATS) records and recruitment files. Onboarding Facilitate new employee orientation programs. Partner with department leaders to ensure successful integration of new hires. Track completion of onboarding requirements and training assignments. Compliance & Administration Ensure recruiting and hiring practices comply with federal, state, and local employment laws. Maintain confidentiality of applicant and employee information. Support HR initiatives and special projects as assigned by the HR Manager. Generate recruitment reports and provide hiring updates to management. Qualifications Education Associate's degree or Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field preferred but not required. Equivalent combination of education and experience will be considered. SHRM Certified Professional (SHRM-CP), SHRM Senior Certified Professional (SHRM-SCP), Professional in Human Resources (PHR), or Senior Professional in Human Resources (SPHR) credential preferred. Candidates who do not currently possess an HR certification must be willing to obtain credential within six (6) months of employment. Experience 2+ years of recruiting and talent acquisition required. Experience recruiting through Indeed, LinkedIn, Glassdoor, and other online sourcing platforms. Experience conducting virtual interviews and candidate screenings. Skills and Competencies Strong interviewing and candidate assessment skills. Excellent verbal and written communication abilities. Proficiency with Applicant Tracking Systems (ATS) and recruiting software. Working knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite. Ability to manage multiple job requisitions. Detail-oriented with strong follow-through and problem-solving skills. Understanding of employment laws and hiring best practices. Physical Requirements Ability to sit for extended periods while using a computer. Ability to participate in video meetings and conduct virtual interviews. Occasional travel quarterly may be required for company purposes, recruiting events, and job fairs.
