ANY is the national nonprofit connecting first-generation college students with transformative mentorship and intensive career development for economic mobility. Founded in 2009 and headquartered in New York City, ANY expanded to New Jersey in 2012, Illinois in 2015, and our operation continues to grow. Position Overview Due to our growth and expansion in New York and New Jersey, ANY is currently seeking an ambitious and organized Career Success Manager to implement our Fellows Program, reporting to the Regional Program Director NY/NJ. As a Career Success Manager, you will facilitate workshops on career readiness, leadership development, and professional skills for a cohort of Fellows (ambitious, first-generation college students) and their mentors. In addition to delivering workshops, you will be the primary point of contact for Fellows, including supporting their professional development and career opportunities. The Career Success Manager will also be accountable for recruiting new students into our program and building strategic relationships with the assigned college and university contacts in the region. The Career Success Manager is based in New York or New Jersy with a hybrid work environment, requiring in-person attendance at the office one day of the week, in-person attendance at monthly Saturday workshops, and in-person attendance at other work-related events/meetings, as needed. Our Ideal Candidate: • Is committed to ANY’s mission of supporting ambitious, first-generation college students • Is excited about building their skills in facilitation, advising, career counseling, and event planning • Is passionate about data and analytics to improve outcomes for first-generation college students We Offer: • A warm, collaborative work environment with a rich culture of support and feedback • A generous benefits package (health/dental insurance, 403(b), FSA, three weeks’ vacation, etc.) • Connections to an expansive professional network Responsibilities Include: • Provide career and professional development to Fellows to ensure they persist in college and become career-ready through their participation in the program. • Ensure Fellows meet all programmatic requirements and expectations. • Assessing Fellows’ skills and assisting them in understanding various internship and career options. • Prepare Fellows for successful internship applications and interviews • Facilitate workshops, manage logistics, moderate panels, and facilitate group discussions • Recruit new students into our program, including attending campus and presenting at campus events. • Build strong relationships with assigned campuses • Analyze Fellow outcomes, program standing, attendance, and program retention. • Support Volunteers and Fellow pairs to further the mentoring relationship. • Plan, prepare, and conduct recruitment sessions and other events • Interview and evaluate Fellow applicants; track results and support robust external communications. • Additional projects and duties as determined by local and national program teams Core Competencies: Case Management: Building meaningful connections with individual students and mentor coaches through consistent, high-quality check-ins. Maintains detailed, efficient, continuity-focused documentation and manages scheduling and prioritization, and uses data to monitor progress and inform timely, responsive support. Communication Skills: Communicates with clarity and purpose in writing and in speech, practices active listening, and builds shared understanding that leads to strong results. Facilitation & Public Speaking: Leads engaging and inclusive workshops, panels, and discussions for Fellows, mentors, and partners with clarity and understanding. Relationship Building: Builds trust and rapport with Fellows, mentors, campus partners, and colleagues to foster strong connections. Stakeholder Engagement: Builds and sustains productive relationships with external and internal stakeholders to advance program objectives. Qualifications: • Minimum 2 years of experience, preferably in career counseling or a related field • Bachelor’s Degree required – all majors and professional backgrounds are welcome to apply • Ability to work in a fast-paced, results-driven environment • Highly developed verbal and written communication skills • Strong listening and mediation skills, with a high level of empathy • Exceptional attention to detail and organizational skills • Desire for continuous improvement and openness to feedback • Willingness to work approximately 9 Saturdays per year, plus occasional evenings • Salesforce proficiency • Proficiency with Canvas or other Learning Management Systems. • Experience in public speaking and presenting to a large audience • Microsoft Office proficiency • Salesforce proficiency
