The Dental Assistant “assists” our Dentist during a variety of dental procedures. Whether you are an experienced Dental Assistant, or you are motivated to learn more about the dental industry we would like to tell you more.Dental Assisting Job Responsibilities:Preparing exam rooms, sterilizing instruments, and ensuring necessary equipment is ready for dentistsKnowledge of general anatomy of the mouth and dental termsUnderstanding of crowns, fillings, extractions, root canals and implantsAssisting dentists during procedures by handing them instruments and anticipating needsTaking and processing X-rays of patientsPerform lab tasks as instructedGreeting patients as they arrive and scheduling appointmentsAdvising patients on recommended oral hygieneMaintaining accurate patient records and assist with payment proceduresStrong communications skills required to deliver oral hygiene and post-operative care instructionsHandling general administrative and other duties to maintain the dental practiceQualifications:1-2 years of Dental Assisting experience preferredX-ray CertifiedKnowledge of dental terminology and proceduresExperience with dental radiographs (X-rays) and imaging equipmentUnderstanding of infection control and sterilization protocolsProficiency in dental software (Dentrix, Eaglesoft, Open Dental, etc.)Strong patient care and chairside assisting skillsAbility to prepare and maintain treatment rooms and instrumentsExcellent communication and customer service skillsStrong organizational and multitasking abilitiesCompensation & Benefits:Guaranteed Hourly Rate $20-$26 depend on experiencePaid Vacation & Paid Holidays401k Program: with matching contributionsBenefits: (offered at 30 hours or more)Competitive health, dental, and vision planLife Insurance and Disability InsuranceFlexible SchedulesFLSA Status:Non-ExemptWe are an Equal Opportunity/Affirmative Action Employer.
