Patient Intake Representative
Labcorp
Labcorp seeks a Patient Intake Representative for its Portland, Oregon location. The role involves scheduling appointments, registering patients, verifying insurance, and performing administrative tasks in a diagnostic testing facility. Monday–Friday availability required, with potential weekend and overtime shifts.
Responsibilities
- Schedule patient appointments and greet arrivals
- Process patient registration, demographics entry, and insurance verification
- Collect payments and verify insurance coverage
- Call physician offices to confirm test order accuracy
- Monitor patient wait times and escalate issues to supervisors
Requirements
- High school diploma or GED
- One year of patient-facing healthcare experience (preferred)
- Proficiency in MS Office applications
- Strong data entry and organizational abilities
- Ability to pass standardized colorblindness test
- Team collaboration and customer service orientation
