Mechanic

Mechanic – Bossier City, Louisiana We are looking for a Mechanic responsible for overall maintenance of the company fleet and equipment assets. Responsibilities Perform service, maintenance, repair and overhaul in accordance with manufacturers’ recommendations. Carry out equipment repairs in response to maintenance requests, in shop or in field locations. Repair equipment, removing and replacing components. Use diagnostic procedures and test equipment to identify and correct equipment faults. Conduct mechanical, hydraulic, pneumatic, electric, and electronic analyses and diagnoses. Operate shop equipment including cranes, welders, compressors, presses, grinders, heavy hand tools, and tire servicing equipment. Lift, move and/or install heavy parts and assemblies safely, using basic tooling and PPE. Assist other mechanics and team members as required. Qualifications Technical School certification preferred. Experience with 3/4 ton up to 18‑wheelers, as well as excavators, dozers, etc. (preferred, not required). Able to obtain a Chauffeur's License or Class "C" Commercial Drivers License (CDL) within 90 days of employment. Able to pass and maintain a satisfactory Motor Vehicle Record. Knowledge and proper use of special tools/equipment required to perform assigned maintenance tasks is mandatory. Understand theory and principles of engine operations, accessories, and components. Demonstrated ability to follow through on instructions, work with minimal supervision, and use required computer/telephone applications. Excellent communication skills. Excellent problem‑solving skills and attention to detail. Physical Demands and Work Environment Use hands or fingers; handle or feel objects, tools, or controls. Stand, walk, sit, reach with hands and arms; climb or balance; stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl. Lift and/or move up to 50 pounds. Require close, distance, and peripheral vision, and ability to adjust focus. Work environment often moderate to high noise; occasionally outdoors in elements/weather.
