Job Summary The Auto Body Technician is responsible for providing an exceptional customer experience through meticulous assessment and quality repair of each vehicle to restore it to pre‑accident condition. The role entails disassembly, repair, reassembly, and quality inspection, while upholding the company’s focus on speed, quality, and customer excellence. Key Responsibilities Ensure consistent execution of the WOW (Wow Operating Way) plan. Plan repair work, prepare cost estimates for customers, and document job orders. Operate tools such as cutting guns, plasma cutters, hydraulic jacks, hammers, and pliers to repair vehicle sections. Repair minor body damage by hammering dents and dimples, and mix/apply filler resins when other methods are not feasible. Realign chassis and frames to correct structural damage. Remove damaged components and replace them with new or aftermarket parts. Repair or replace glass and windshields as needed. Repair or replace interior components as required. Weld or otherwise attach parts into place and prepare and repaint vehicles with factory‑specified paint or agreed‑upon equivalent. Attempt to complete work orders within labor time guidelines. Inspect repaired vehicles to ensure quality standards are met. Perform other related duties as assigned. Qualifications High school diploma or equivalent required. Successful completion of a technical school program or a 3‑year apprenticeship as an auto body repairer. Ability to read job orders and work with minimal supervision. Ability to collaborate with other repairers in a shop environment. Thorough understanding of vehicle body repair methods and procedures. Proficiency with tools required for the trade. Physical & Environmental Requirements Work safely in a noisy environment with strong odors. Lift up to 30 pounds on occasion. Inspect vehicle damage in various weather conditions. Perform tasks requiring bending, stretching, kneeling, and squatting.
