Job Opportunity – Medical-Surgical Telemetry Registered Nurse – Wisconsin

Start Date: September 28, 2026

Location: Wisconsin

Compensation: Details provided to qualified applicants

Schedule: 12-hour shifts (Day/Night rotation: 0700-1930, 1900-0730) with every other weekend and holidays as needed

Highlights:

• 28-bed acute care medical unit specializing in General Internal Medicine, Geriatrics, and Special Pathogens care
• Fast-paced teaching environment within an academic medical center caring for patients with complex medical diagnoses
• EPIC charting system with 20 hours of orientation provided
• Patient populations include adults and geriatrics with a daily census of 28-29 patients
• Comprehensive interdisciplinary support including IV Teams, Respiratory Services, Physical Therapy, Pharmacy, and Rapid Response Teams
• Magnet-designated facility recognized as Wisconsin's top-ranked hospital and a leading national academic medical center

Requirements:

• Wisconsin RN license or active Compact State RN license
• BLS certification (American Heart Association only)
• Minimum two years of acute care experience within the last three years in Med-Surg/Telemetry specialty
• EPIC charting system experience required
• Previous travel nursing experience required
• Must successfully pass telemetry competency exam prior to start with strict passing criteria (80% minimum; 100% accuracy on lethal rhythms and third-degree heart blocks)
• Proficiency in telemetry monitoring, dysrhythmia interpretation and management, IV insulin protocols, blood product administration, central line and PICC line management, and non-invasive airway management
• Flu vaccination required (medical/religious exemptions only)
• Willingness to float to similar units as needed
• Must reside 50+ miles from facility location
