Registered Nurse (RN) - Oncology

Registered Nurse Oncology

Schedule: Every other weekend required.

Assignment Details: Floating is required throughout the Oncology department as needed. The average daily census is 30, with a bed capacity of 32.

Requirements

• Oncology experience required.
• 1 year of experience required.
• Chemo certification required.
• ONS/ONCC, ACLS, BCLS certifications required.
• Ability to pass EKG exam; interpretation and management of dysrhythmias required.
• Experience with administration of chemotherapy, accessing/managing ports, administration of blood and blood products, central line care, IV starts, antibiotics, antiemetics, and foley catheter management.
• Telemetry interpretation and monitoring experience required.

Responsibilities

• Administer chemotherapy and manage patient care in the oncology unit.
• Provide telemetry monitoring and interpretation.
• Perform central line and PICC line care.
• Implement isolation precautions as necessary.
• Ensure proper patient record-keeping and documentation.
