We are looking for responsible practitioners who are willing to learn and grow with our Neurology and Neurosurgery team. Each practitioner will be responsible for assessing, diagnosing, prescribing, treating and educating parents, teachers, and patients, while working closely with the physicians. Must be certified for Family or Pediatric care. We are willing to train the right person! Compensation is determined based on experience. Responsibilities Provides/improves patient care in office and hospital settings. Maintains NJ, DEA, CDS licenses and hospital privileges. Assesses, diagnoses, prescribes, treats, and educates pediatric patients and families. Communicates with patients, families, nursing and clinical staff, other healthcare providers, and documents interactions. Identifies short‑term and long‑term patient care issues and provides information for care decisions. Recommends options and courses of action involving patient care. Develops and implements patient management plans with attending physicians for continuity of care. Assesses and evaluates patients' health and neurological function through history, physical exam, and detailed neurological exams. Orders and interprets appropriate diagnostic tests (x-rays, CT scans, MRIs, laboratory studies, etc.) and communicates results. Initiates and monitors patient progress, therapeutic and diagnostic procedures, consultations, and laboratory examinations; prescribes and alters medication regimens according to collaborative practice agreement and protocols. Provides teaching and counseling on health promotion, maintenance, disease prevention, and management of acute/chronic illnesses. Issues prescriptions and medications as necessary. Documents patient care services by charting patient and department records. Covers on‑call schedule as needed. Works with NJPNI staff to develop and promote the practice. Contributes articles, research projects, mentoring opportunities. Volunteers for hospital committees and other leadership positions. Maintains membership in appropriate professional societies. Performs other duties as assigned. Degrees and Licenses NP or PA NJ License Driver's License: Class D/Regular DEA CDS PA‑C APN BLS

ACLS/PALS
