The Full-Time Assistant Teacher will support the preschool classroom environment by assisting the lead teacher in fostering a positive, Christian-based learning experience for young students. The assistant teacher will help manage a class size of 10-20 children, providing support in daily activities, classroom management, and behavior monitoring, while maintaining strong communication with the lead teacher and contributing to a collaborative educational setting.
Responsibilities
- Support the lead teacher in daily classroom activities and lesson implementation
- Supervise and monitor student behavior to maintain a safe and positive environment
- Assist students with activities and learning tasks to encourage development
- Help manage classroom logistics and maintain order throughout the day
- Communicate effectively with the lead teacher about student progress and needs
- Contribute to upholding a Christian-based educational atmosphere
Preferred Qualifications
- Entry-level experience in education support
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Knowledge of classroom management techniques
- Understanding of child development principles
- Strong communication and team collaboration skills
- Organizational skills to assist in classroom management
- Pastoral reference and regular church attendance
