Metro Physical Therapy & Wellness is actively searching for a dedicated and enthusiastic full-time Outpatient Orthopedic Physical Therapist to join our team in Elkton, Maryland. The ideal candidate will be a vital contributor to our multidisciplinary rehabilitation practice, focusing on enhancing patients' functional capabilities through personalized treatment plans and evidence-based practices. About the Organization Metro Physical Therapy & Wellness is an orthopedic outpatient private practice committed to facilitating optimal health outcomes for our patients. Our facility spans 5,000 square feet and is equipped with the latest sports medicine technologies and therapeutic modalities. As a PT-owned practice, we take pride in delivering high-quality, individualized care, primarily to patients with private medical insurance. Our dedicated team currently comprises two licensed physical therapists and one physical therapy assistant (PTA), all working collaboratively to support our patients' rehabilitation journeys. This position is based onsite at our rehabilitation facility, where you will engage directly with patients in a supportive and motivating atmosphere. The work schedule for this role typically runs Monday through Friday, from 9 AM to 5 PM, allowing for a balanced professional lifestyle. Key Responsibilities Conduct initial evaluations to efficiently identify and address patients' functional objectives and needs. Manage a caseload of one patient per hour, maintaining individualized attention and care for each. Create comprehensive care plans, utilizing a variety of treatment techniques tailored to enhance patient recovery. Implement cost-effective interventions that aim to improve range of motion and mobility while reducing medication reliance. Utilize manual therapy techniques and design customized fitness and wellness programs for individual patients. Motivate and educate patients to encourage an active role in their recovery process. Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to ensure comprehensive and multi-faceted patient care. Document patient progress thoroughly, ensuring clear and accessible communication regarding treatment outcomes. Evaluate treatment effectiveness and adjust plans as needed to optimize patient engagement and recovery results. You will primarily work with patients recovering from orthopedic injuries or surgeries, requiring tailored physiotherapy approaches that foster healing and enhance mobility. Our clientele includes a diverse demographic, and as such, your adaptability to varying individual needs will be crucial. You will support patients in regaining strength, flexibility, and confidence in their movement, ultimately guiding them back to their daily activities and optimizing their quality of life. Qualifications Doctorate in Physical Therapy (DPT) is required. Valid DC license to practice as a physical therapist. A clean professional record with no history of disciplinary actions or complaints. Strong expertise in manual therapy techniques. Exceptional skills in developing and executing exercise protocols tailored to individual patient needs. Experience in utilizing WebPT EMR Software for patient management and documentation. Preferred Experience While we welcome new graduates, preference will be given to candidates with proven experience in outpatient orthopedic settings, particularly those who have developed effective treatment programs and successfully guided patients through rehabilitation processes. Familiarity with sports medicine and evidence-based treatment methodologies will also be advantageous. Compensation and Benefits This position offers a competitive annual salary ranging between USD 100,000 and 120,000, commensurate with experience and qualifications.
