This Staff Accountant position is critical for supporting the daily accounting and reporting functions across a portfolio of investment entities, including private funds and special-purpose vehicles. Mission: Support day-to-day accounting and reporting for a portfolio of investment entities, including private funds and special-purpose vehicles. Tech Stack: Microsoft Office Suite, Excel, cloud-based accounting platforms, QuickBooks. What You’ll Actually Do Payroll & HR Management: Coordinate new employee onboarding, maintain employee payroll profiles, process regular payroll cycles, manage expense reimbursements, and track Paid Time Off balances. Accounts Payable & Expense Oversight: Set up and maintain accurate vendor records, process vendor invoices, ensure proper expense coding and allocation, prepare 1099 forms, and resolve billing discrepancies. Financial Record Keeping & Reporting: Prepare and issue monthly client invoices, process billing across client portals, reconcile intercompany transactions, support general ledger activities, assist with month-end and year-year-end closings, and support tax return preparation and K-1 distributions. Fund Accounting Support: Assist with fund audits, coordinate with external auditors and tax preparers, track capital calls, distributions, and management fees according to fund agreements, and work with portfolio management and operations teams to ensure data accuracy. Performance Reporting Assistance: Provide support for the preparation of performance reports for complex client portfolios. The Must-Haves Background: Early-Level career professional with a Bachelor’s degree in accounting or finance preferred. Experience: A minimum of 1 year of relevant accounting experience preferred. Skills: Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel (pivot tables and VLOOKUP skills preferred), strong written and verbal communication skills, exceptional organizational and time-management abilities, and strong analytical skills. Bonus: Fund accounting experience is a plus, and familiarity with cloud-based accounting platforms, including QuickBooks, is a plus. #J-18808-Ljbffr
