We are currently recruiting for a Maintenance Technician for first (1st) or third (3rd) shift who will carry out repairs and maintenance activities minimizing production downtime. Role and Responsibilities: Carry out electrical and/or mechanical repairs and inspections as required to ensure equipment runs reliably in production. Install new machinery, overhaul equipment and rebuild and fabricate parts as required. Consistently maintain company safety and cleanliness standards in the production environment. Assist maintenance personnel with plant maintenance as needed. Liaise with outside contractors as necessary. Training, instruction and supervision of apprentices including carrying out reviews of Apprentice performance, ensuring that Apprentices get experience in all aspects of their trade. As assigned by the supervisor or manager, must be licensed and certified to drive a forklift within Mergon Corporation. Qualifications and Experience: High School Diploma or GED preferred. Experience working in a manufacturing environment preferably in automotive and/or plastics environment. Experience working with CNC machines, Mills, Lathes, Welding, etc. Strong teamwork, electrical, and mechanical skills. Strong communication skills. #J-18808-Ljbffr
