RN - Tele

Registered NurseThis position is in a float pool. You will be required to float between various units. The primary unit has 31 telemetry beds. The nurse-to-patient ratio is 1 to 4. You will need to read telemetry strips. Drips you may administer include amiodarone and cardizem. No titration is required for drips. You may encounter patients in respiratory distress, CHF, COPD, and post-cath lab. You will provide primary care nursing. Resources may be limited, and nurses will be busy. Charge nurses will not take patient assignments. Monitor technicians will be available to assist with telemetry strips. Team support includes hospitalists or intensivists on-site. There may be limited nurse aide support depending on census. Expect a high acuity patient population. Self-scheduling is available, but not guaranteed. You will operate in an acute care setting.Experience: Minimum 2 years License: Required Certifications: ACLS, BLS, NIHSS Must-Have: Experience with drips. Experience with chest tubes preferred. Positive attitude and compassion.
