Director of Development

The client is seeking a Director of Development to support its mission and help ensure long-term financial health and growth. This is a development leadership role focused on strengthening relationships with donors and expanding the organization’s donor base to further its work serving the Chicago Jewish community through Torah learning and related educational opportunities. The Director of Development will manage a deep portfolio of donors and collaborate with a lay and professional team to drive fundraising results. The role will partner closely with the Development Committee and work with senior leadership to advance fund-raising strategy, cultivate and steward donor relationships, and coordinate development activities that align with organizational goals. The position includes a compensation and benefits package commensurate with experience and qualifications, and eligibility for a base salary and an annual milestone-based incentive tied to objective criteria. The organization expects a dynamic, experienced development leader capable of overseeing donor engagement efforts, contributing to sustainable growth, and partnering effectively with board and leadership stakeholders to support the organization’s mission.
