Assistant Maintenance Supervisor – The Point Stamford

Earn $30 to $33 per hour + a $2,000 sign-on bonus!

Location: 1 Greyrock Place, Stamford, CT 06901
Schedule: Tuesday–Saturday, 8:00 a.m.– 5:00 p.m., with on-call coverage as needed
Property: 641-unit Class A apartment community
Additional Compensation: Monthly renewal commissions

The Assistant Maintenance Supervisor is a hands-on maintenance position—not a people-management role. You will work alongside the Maintenance Supervisor and onsite team to complete service requests, troubleshoot repairs, prepare apartments for move-in, and help keep the community operating at its best.

This is an excellent opportunity for a skilled Maintenance Technician seeking a more advanced title, increased responsibility, and higher earning potential.

What You’ll Do

• Complete resident service requests promptly and professionally
• Diagnose and perform HVAC, plumbing, electrical, and appliance repairs
• Complete preventive maintenance and general property repairs
• Prepare vacant apartments for move-in
• Help coordinate apartment turnovers and identify outstanding maintenance needs
• Inspect completed work to help ensure quality and safety standards are met
• Assist with maintaining supplies, tools, equipment, and inventory
• Respond to after-hours maintenance emergencies as part of the on-call rotation
• Communicate professionally with residents, vendors, and onsite team members
• Support the Maintenance Supervisor with the daily maintenance needs of the property
• Follow all applicable safety requirements, building codes, and company procedures
• Help maintain the appearance, safety, and overall operation of the community

What We’re Looking For

• Previous hands-on multifamily, apartment, hotel, commercial, or residential maintenance experience
• Strong working knowledge of HVAC, plumbing, electrical, appliance repair, preventive maintenance, and apartment turnovers
• Ability to independently diagnose problems and complete repairs efficiently
• Strong customer-service, communication, organization, and problem-solving skills
• Ability to manage daily priorities and complete work with limited supervision
• Availability to participate in the on-call rotation and respond to emergencies when needed
• Ability to live within approximately 30 minutes of the property for on-call coverage
• Valid driver’s license
• Ability to communicate effectively in English, both verbally and in writing
• Basic computer skills and the ability to use property-management and work-order systems
• Knowledge of applicable safety requirements and building codes
• HVAC or EPA certification preferred
• Successful completion of required background and drug screenings before employment
