Job Summary :

The Warehouse Supervisor is responsible for overseeing day-to-day warehouse operations to ensure accurate inventory management, timely material handling, and compliance with SQF food safety and quality standards. This role supervises warehouse staff and works closely with production, quality, and logistics to maintain an efficient and organized warehouse.

 

Key Responsibilities:

• Supervise daily warehouse functions, including receiving, storing, staging, shipping, and inventory control.
• Ensure all materials are handled in compliance with SQF, GMP, and company food safety procedures.
• Maintain accurate documentation and records for all inbound and outbound shipments.
• Train and coach warehouse employees on procedures, safety, forklift operation, and food handling requirements.
• Monitor inventory accuracy through routine cycle counts and reconciliation processes.
• Communicate with production and purchasing to ensure raw materials and packaging are available when needed.
• Maintain cleanliness and organization of warehouse areas; ensure all products are stored according to established standards.
• Support warehouse team in loading/unloading trucks and operating equipment as needed.
• Report any discrepancies, safety hazards, or violations of SQF protocols.
• Assist in preparing for and participating in third-party audits, inspections, and internal reviews.

 

Minimum Qualifications:

• High school diploma or GED required; associate degree preferred.
• 2+ years of warehouse experience in food manufacturing or logistics.
• 1+ year of supervisory or lead experience in a warehouse setting.
• Knowledge of SQF, GMP, and warehouse safety practices.
• Proficient in inventory software, WMS systems, and Microsoft Excel.
• Valid forklift certification or ability to obtain one.
• Strong organizational, communication, and leadership skills.
• Ability to work in cold or variable temperature environments.

 

Physical Requirements:

• Ability to stand, walk, bend, and lift up to 50 lbs regularly.
• Comfortable working in refrigerated or frozen storage areas.
• Must wear required PPE in all production and storage areas.
