Registered Nurse (RN) - Critical Care / ICU

Location: Syracuse, NY

Duration - 13 Weeks
Position Summary

We are seeking an experienced Critical Care Registered Nurse (RN) for a night shift opportunity in a high-acuity acute care hospital. Nurses will be assigned to Adult ICU units based on clinical experience and unit needs. The ideal candidate will have recent ICU experience in a Level I or Level II Trauma Center and be comfortable caring for critically ill adult patients.
Schedule

Night Shift
Every Other Weekend Required
Holiday Rotation Required
Fixed schedules are not available
Extended time-off requests may be limited

Requirements

Active New York State RN License
BLS Certification required
Minimum 1.5 years of recent Critical Care/ICU experience within the last 2 years
Experience in a Level I or Level II Trauma Center required
Experience in hospitals of similar or greater size and acuity required
Epic EMR experience preferred
First-time travelers considered based on experience

Responsibilities

Provide comprehensive nursing care to critically ill adult patients.
Perform detailed patient assessments and continuous monitoring.
Administer medications, blood products, and critical care therapies.
Manage ventilated patients and advanced monitoring equipment.
Recognize and respond to changes in patient condition.
Collaborate with physicians, respiratory therapists, and interdisciplinary care teams.
Develop, implement, and evaluate individualized patient care plans.
Maintain accurate and timely documentation within the electronic medical record.
Deliver patient and family-centered care in accordance with evidence-based practice standards.
