Job Details Job Location: Fort Oglethorpe – Fort Oglethorpe, GA 30742 Position Type: Full Time Education Level: Not Specified Salary Range: $50,000.00 – $70,000.00 Base+Commission per year Travel Percentage: None OVERVIEW A Club4Fitness PT Manager is responsible for recruiting, hiring, onboarding, and mentoring new and existing personal trainers to enable them to meet the performance expectations of the Club4Fitness personal training program and maintain targeted levels of monthly production. At all times, the PT Manager must demonstrate a thorough understanding of all aspects of the personal trainer position and of organizational and departmental policies, disseminate any changes in policy, procedure or performance expectations clearly and timely, and represent the organization positively. ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES Provides new personal training staff a specific schedule of onboarding activities for the first 30 days of employment and either mentors that trainer personally or assigns the coaching responsibilities to the Assistant PT Manager when appropriate. Schedules trainings to ensure staff develop a thorough working knowledge of the Peak or ABC Financial point‑of‑sale system appropriate to each CLUB4 facility. Coaches personal trainers on running an effective consultation for a prospective client; shadows previously trained trainers to evaluate their proficiency on client consultations. Instills in the staff all fundamental skills related to appointment setting for fitness consultations and overall prospecting. Leads all personal training staff by example in knowing, following, and understanding specific personal training and C4F policies and procedures, emphasizing the current cancel/freeze policies. Conducts session quality reviews of existing personal training staff. Assigns clients to new trainers. Supports the Personal Training Director in engaging new member clients by disseminating and supporting new personal training sales strategies as rolled out by the Director. Performs consults (minimally monthly, as determined by the Personal Training Director). Understand departmental KPI’s and metrics to support club and organizational efforts to improve personal training sales growth and guide individual trainer development. Promotes client retention by providing support, direction, and education to all CLUB4 PT teams as needed. Trains (and assigns) personal training staff on monthly trainer business plans as well as daily/weekly reporting. May provide support at new CLUBs during grand openings. Coordinates with PT Director on developing a specific game plan for each CLUB4 facility visit, covering sales, recruiting, training and development, booking/prospecting, etc. Under the direction of PT Director, assists with scheduled interviews during the week of his/her visit. Submits required daily/weekly/monthly assignments and reports to PTD/Regional. Demonstrates proficiency in Trainerize (working knowledge). Maintains a high level of customer service through healthy communication with members and staff, adhering strictly to all C4F customer service standards. Conducts regular audits as assigned by the PT Director (quality control checks, inspection of client binders, Trainerize profiles, consultation worksheets, calendar management, etc.). Follows all guidelines outlined in the Personal Trainer job description. ORGANIZATIONAL RELATIONSHIPS The position reports directly to the Personal Training Director assigned to the PT Manager’s club facility. QUALIFICATIONS Knowledge, skills & abilities: Experienced Certified Personal Trainer with previous experience training private clients. Knowledge of physiology, exercise technique, and body mechanics to assess and provide necessary guidance for functional training for pregnant women, members recovering from illness or injury, and improving repetitive motions or offering alternatives to endurance or strength training. Ability to pass a personal training Strength and Conditioning Assessment. Detail‑ and results‑oriented with a high degree of professionalism, organizational skills, and multitasking ability. Positive, motivating, and effective interpersonal communication skills. Desire and capacity to train all fitness levels. High level of understanding and presence across social media. CPR/AED certification. Excellent communication and customer service skills, including gregarious personality, innate motivation, and unstoppable energy. Demonstrated ability to work both autonomously and collaboratively within teams. Minimum certifications/education/experience level: High School Diploma or equivalent (GED) is required; a 2‑ or 4‑yr degree in exercise science or a related field is preferred. Previous personal training sales experience, a plus. Must hold a current fitness certification from an approved education company such as ACSM, ACE, NASM, NCSA, AFFA, NFPT (NCCA Certified). WORK ENVIRONMENT Mental Demands: Reading; ability to communicate effectively (verbal and written); maintain emotional control under pressure. Physical Demands/Environmental Factors: Work with frequent interruptions; climbing, stretching, light lifting of books and boxes; occasional lifting of up to 50 pounds; frequent use of computer and repetitive hand motions. Regulated air temperature and humidity in gym facilities and office environment; temperatures may be elevated during group and personal exercise activities. Regular standing, walking, crouching, kneeling, stretching, lifting, and other physical activity are required while performing the duties of the role. Sitting, close reading, and typing are also required. Noise level is generally low but may be louder and more intense in gym facilities. Hours are scheduled and include early mornings, late evenings, and some weekend assignments. Special occasions and/or activities that require extended hours of availability related to events, launches, club openings, etc., may occur. Flexibility is required to meet client availability. The Lead Personal Trainer will also be expected to ‘fill in’ when a PTM is unavailable.
