Role Description This full-time, on-site Bilingual Customer Service & Collections Representative (Healthcare Billing) role is based in Tampa, FL. The representative is responsible for handling inbound and outbound calls with patients and insurance carriers, addressing billing inquiries, and explaining account balances and payment options in English and another required language. Daily tasks include reviewing patient accounts, following up on overdue balances, arranging payment plans, and documenting all interactions accurately in the billing system. The role involves working closely with internal billing and revenue cycle teams to resolve discrepancies, ensure timely collections, and maintain a positive, professional experience for all patients. The representative is expected to meet performance targets, comply with healthcare privacy regulations, and support continuous improvement in billing and customer service processes. Qualifications Demonstrated skills in Customer Service and Customer Support to address inquiries, resolve issues, and provide clear billing explanations. Ability to enhance Customer Experience and Customer Satisfaction through empathetic communication, professionalism, and timely follow-up. Experience working as Customer Service Representatives or in similar frontline roles within healthcare, billing, or financial services. Bilingual fluency (English and Spanish or another relevant language) with strong verbal and written communication skills. Knowledge of medical billing processes, healthcare terminology, and revenue cycle principles is preferred. Proficiency with phone systems, billing software, and basic computer applications (e.g., MS Office). Strong attention to detail, organizational skills, and ability to work in a fast-paced on-site environment.
