Job Opportunity – Emergency Room Registered Nurse – Texas

Start Date: October 5, 2026

Location: West Texas

Compensation: Details provided to qualified applicants

Schedule: 12-hour shifts; block schedules approved but not required; 6 weekend shifts per 6-week period; no on-call required

Highlights:

• Level II Trauma Center with 379 staffed beds and a 46-bed Emergency Department
• Comprehensive Stroke Center and STEMI facility with average daily census of 136 patients
• 1:3 nurse-to-patient ratio across all shifts
• Epic charting system with 36 hours of paid orientation
• Full interdisciplinary support including respiratory services, radiology, pharmacy, and social services
• Diverse patient population including pediatrics, adolescents, adults, and geriatrics

Requirements:

• Active RN license (compact license accepted)
• Minimum 2 years of Emergency Department experience (required)
• Current certifications: ACLS, PALS, BLS, NIHSS, and TNCC
• Experience with 1:3 patient ratios preferred
• Epic or similar EMR charting experience required
• Acute care hospital experience required; Level I or II Trauma experience strongly preferred
• Competency in BiPAP/CPAP management, ventilated patient care, central line management, stroke protocols, dysrhythmia management, and triage
