Job Title: ER Registered Nurse Profession: Registered Nurse Specialty: Emergency Room Duration: 13 weeks Shift: Mid 3x12-Hour Hours per Shift: 12 Experience: Minimum 2 years required License: Valid state license required Certifications: ACLS, BLS, NIHSS, PALS, TNCC Must-Have: - 2 years of Emergency Room experience - Must be able to float as needed Description: The Registered Nurse will work in the Emergency Room. This is a first-time position for Emergency Room Registered Nurses. The position does not require floating between units. Weekend shifts are required, with 6 weekends per 6 weeks. Block scheduling is approved but not mandatory. The expected patient-to-nurse ratio is 1:3. Candidates must have current ACLS, PALS, BLS, NIHSS, and TNCC certifications. Previous charge experience is preferred. Experience in a Level II trauma center is preferred. Candidates must have experience with charting systems, specifically Epic. The facility serves patients of all age groups, including adolescents, adults, pediatrics, and geriatrics. Daily patient visits average 136. The registered nurse will care for patients with various diagnoses, including stroke, STEMI, chest pain, abdominal pain, trauma, shortness of breath, and others. Special procedures in the unit include comprehensive stroke and STEMI care. Interdisciplinary support is available from various departments. All applicants must be willing to adhere to the facility dress code and other policies. References are required covering 1 year of experience within the last 3 years.
