Bachelor's or Master's degree in Special Education, active Special Education Teacher license and minimum 1+ years Special Education Teacher experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered.

Key Qualifications:

• Active CT Educator Certification with Special Education endorsement required
• Experience working within self-contained classrooms preferred

Primary Responsibilities:

• Provide specialized instruction and tailored support for students in a self-contained classroom setting
• Develop and implement individualized education plans (IEPs) in accordance with state and federal guidelines
• Monitor student progress, maintaining thorough and clear documentation
• Foster a positive, inclusive, and safe learning environment for all students
• Collaborate closely with fellow educators, paraprofessionals, related service staff, and families to drive student achievement
• Participate in ongoing professional development and school-based meetings
