Description Purchasing Buyer – Food Service Supplies S&W Wholesale Foods, Louisiana’s leading independent food service supplier, is seeking an experienced and detail-oriented Buyer to join our dynamic merchandising team. Key Responsibilities Source and replenish a variety of food and non-food items to meet customer demand Manage the category cycle for assigned product categories, ensuring optimal stock levels and product availability Maintain accurate acquisition costs and ensure pricing integrity Achieve and maintain inventory goals as set by management Keep supplier and item information current in the host system and replenishment software Perform other duties as assigned to support team objectives and operational efficiency Skills and Qualifications Proven experience in purchasing, procurement, or category management within the food service or retail industry Strong understanding of inventory management and replenishment processes Excellent negotiation and supplier relationship management skills Proficiency in inventory management software and MS Office Suite Detail-oriented with strong organizational and analytical skills Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment Excellent communication skills and a customer service mindset At S&W Wholesale Foods, we value our team members and are dedicated to providing a supportive environment that encourages professional growth.
