Responsibilities

• Supervise and coordinate the daily activities of the housekeeping staff ensuring efficient coverage and adherence to hotel standards.
• Inspect guest rooms public areas and back-of-house spaces for cleanliness and maintenance issues.
• Train new employees and provide ongoing coaching and performance feedback to team members.
• Manage inventory of cleaning supplies and equipment placing orders as needed to maintain stock levels.
• Report maintenance issues and work closely with other departments to ensure timely repair and upkeep.
• Ensure compliance with safety and sanitation policies and procedures.
• Handle guest requests and resolve complaints related to housekeeping promptly and professionally.
• Prepare and maintain daily weekly and monthly reports on housekeeping operations.

Requirements

• Previous experience in housekeeping preferably in a supervisory role within the hospitality industry.
• Strong leadership and team management skills.
• Excellent organizational and time management abilities.
• Good communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work flexible hours including weekends and holidays.
• Knowledge of cleaning chemicals and supplies and safe handling procedures.
• Basic computer skills for reporting and scheduling.
