Job OpportunityCumberland Pediatric Dentistry & Orthodontics is seeking a passionate Expanded Functions Dental Assistant (EFDA) to join our close-knit team in providing top-notch dental care to our patients.As an EFDA, you'll have the chance to showcase your expanded skills and knowledge, assisting our dentist in a variety of procedures, including restorations, extractions, and root canals. You'll take and develop dental X-rays, manage patient records, and provide education on oral hygiene and post-operative care. And, of course, you'll do it all with a friendly and empathetic approach that makes our patients feel at ease.We want you to bring your passion, skills, and drive to help patients achieve beautiful smiles and better health while creating "wow" experiences at every visit!ResponsibilitiesAssist the dentist during a variety of dental proceduresPerform expanded functions, including restorations, extractions, and root canalsTake and develop dental X-raysManage patient records and maintain accurate documentationPrepare treatment rooms and sterilize dental instrumentsEducate patients on oral hygiene and post-operative careProvide excellent customer service and patient careQualificationsCurrent licensure as an EFDA in the state of TNDemonstrated desire to work in a pediatric settingHigh school diploma or equivalentRadiology certificationCPR certification
