Litigation Secretary

Litigation Secretary
Direct Counsel is looking for a Litigation Secretary to support their litigation team in a collaborative, fast-paced environment. This role works alongside and in support of higher-level litigation staff, including Litigation Assistants and Paralegals, to help move cases forward efficiently. Success in this position requires strong attention to detail, reliability, and excellent communication skills.
Job Responsibilities:
- Processing mail
- Scheduling hearings, depositions, and meetings
- Propounding and responding to discovery
- Drafting notices and other pleadings
- Filing court documents
- Routine contact with clients, opposing counsel, experts and attorneys
Applicant Requirements
- 2+ years of litigation secretarial experience
- Highly organized with strong attention to detail
- Excellent proof-reading skills
- Familiarity with legal terminology, legal document formatting, legal processes and procedures
- Experience filing in State, Federal, and Appellate Courts preferred
- Capable of typing a minimum of 55 WPM
- Spanish speaking is a plus

Hourly Pay Range: $22.00 $32.00 (pay commensurate with experience)
