Sr Commercial Estimator - Landscaping

As an Estimator, you will play a critical role in our Revenue pillar by ensuring our estimates are accurate, clear, and commercially sound so we win the right work at the right price.

Position Overview The Estimator is responsible for preparing timely, accurate, and organized estimates and bid packages. This role drives bid throughput, scope clarity, takeoff quality, and seamless handoffs into project management and operations. Your goal is to build estimate reliability and commercial discipline, ensuring awarded projects are primed for profitable execution.

Qualifications & Requirements Must-Have:

• Proven ability to work accurately under strict deadlines.

• Clear written and verbal communication skills.

• Excellent organizational skills and follow-through.

Nice-to-Have:

• Experience in landscape or construction estimating.

• Background in field operations, project management, or vendor coordination.

• Experience using takeoff and estimating tools such as PlanSwift, LMN, or Beam AI (Attentive AI).

salary: $85,000 - $95,000 per year

Responsibilities

Key Responsibilities

• Estimate Preparation & Bid Execution: Prepare assigned estimates and bid packages accurately and on time. Manage deadlines with discipline, reduce dropped details, and support bid-day requirements.

• Takeoff, Pricing & Scope Discipline: Perform careful quantity takeoffs and scope reviews. Document assumptions, exclusions, and logic clearly using established tools and standards.

• Vendor, Material & Cost Coordination: Gather vendor quotes, confirm material availability, and organize outside pricing inputs to maintain high estimate quality.

• Handoff & Preconstruction Support: Transition awarded projects smoothly to Project Managers and Operations with clear documentation of scope, risks, assumptions, and exclusions.

• Continuous Learning & Team Improvement: Follow estimating standards, incorporate feedback from estimate-to-actual reviews, and help refine tools and templates
