We are looking for an experienced Senior Human Resources (HR) Generalist to join a team in a lead-level capacity. This contract opportunity is ideal for an experienced HR specialist who can balance day-to-day employee support with broader operational and compliance responsibilities. The role works across employee relations, leave and benefits administration, payroll coordination, and HR systems while helping maintain a responsive and well-organized human resources function.

Responsibilities:
• Serve as a senior point of contact for employee relations matters, offering sound guidance, maintaining discretion, and supporting timely issue resolution.
• Oversee personnel actions such as onboarding, internal moves, compensation updates, promotions, and separations while ensuring records remain accurate and current.
• Administer leave programs, workplace accommodations, and workers’ compensation coordination in alignment with applicable laws and organizational policies.
• Manage HR transactions in Workday and review data for completeness, accuracy, and timely processing.
• Support benefits administration by assisting with enrollments, life event changes, employee questions, and general benefits communication.
• Partner with payroll and timekeeping contacts to address pay-related discrepancies, corrections, and employee support needs.
• Build and maintain spreadsheets, reports, and tracking tools in Excel to support reporting, workforce planning, and operational decision-making.
• Coordinate onboarding, orientation sessions, compliance training, and employee development activities to promote a strong employee experience.
• Interpret HR policies, support documentation and investigations, and collaborate with leadership on performance management and process improvements.
• Provide day-to-day direction to HR support staff and contribute to special projects that strengthen HR operations and service delivery.

• At least 7 years of progressive human resources experience, including broad generalist responsibilities in a complex organization.

• Demonstrated background in employee relations, HR administration, onboarding, benefits support, leave management, and compliance-driven HR processes.

• Hands-on experience using Workday or a comparable HRIS, with the ability to process transactions and maintain data accuracy.

• Working knowledge of employment laws and regulations related to leave administration, accommodations, workplace practices, and employee records.

• Strong Workday and Excel skills with experience creating trackers, reports, and spreadsheets used for analysis and operational follow-up.

• Ability to manage multiple priorities independently while maintaining professionalism, sound judgment, and confidentiality.

• Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, Public Administration, or a related field preferred.
