About the Role:

As a Wound Nurse, you will:

• Develop and implement wound care programs in accordance with established nursing standards, policies, and procedures
• Provide direct nursing care to patients with wounds, including assessment, treatment, and education
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to coordinate patient care and develop personalized treatment plans
• Maintain accurate and timely documentation of wound care treatments and patient progress
• Participate in wound care meetings, quality assurance programs, and facility committees to improve patient care and outcomes

Additional Requirements:

• One year of previous long-term care experience is preferred
• Active, unencumbered licensure as a RN in the state of employment
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Strong ability to make independent decisions and work without direct supervision
• Ability to deal tactfully with personnel, residents, family members, visitors, government personnel, and the public
• Must be knowledgeable of computer systems and applications
• Knowledge of equipment used in long-term care (e.g., lifts, wheelchairs, Geri chairs, and scales)
• Must be able to move intermittently throughout the workday
• Excellent customer service focus
