Welcome to Shaner Insurance Agency! Based right here in the heart of Haymarket, Virginia, we are a local business dedicated to protecting our neighbors and friends. When you join our agency, you aren't just an employee—you are a vital part of a small, focused team that values integrity, kindness, and clear communication above all else. We believe that insurance is about more than just policies; it is about providing peace of mind to the families and businesses in our community. In this role, you will work closely with me, Josh Shaner, to help our clients understand their coverage and feel confident in their financial future. Responsibilities
Connect with prospective clients to explain our insurance offerings and identify their specific coverage needs.
Develop and implement sales strategies to help grow our local agency footprint.
Provide ongoing support to existing policyholders, ensuring their protection remains aligned with their life changes.
Prepare accurate quotes and explain complex policy details in plain, easy-to-understand language.
Collaborate with the agency owner to reach office-wide goals and maintain a positive office culture.
Maintain accurate records of client interactions and follow-up activities within our management system.
Requirements
Active Virginia Property Casualty Insurance License.
Demonstrated history of success in sales, ideally within the insurance or financial services sectors.
Strong command of computer systems and ability to learn agency-specific software quickly.
High school diploma or equivalent.
Previous experience with the Allstate brand is a significant advantage.
