Job Title: Procurement Manager, North America Capex Location: This position can be based out of any of our sites: Englewood Cliffs, NJ, Covington, TN, St Albans, VT, or Sikeston, MO. Terms Full‑time project‑based assignment for an anticipated 2‑year duration. Selected candidate will be eligible to apply for internal opportunities after completion, though no continued employment is guaranteed. Role Overview Within this challenging role you will manage North America Engineering stakeholders and support the Portfolio Procurement manager for the Capex portfolio’s project work. You will follow up on strategic and operational activities, liaise between global and regional teams, and lead procurement tasks. Responsibilities Participate in and lead kick‑off project meetings. Build and maintain beneficial relationships with Project Engineering teams. Act as main contact between the Global Capex Procurement Manager and Regional Engineering teams. Support market procurement managers in implementing Capex portfolio strategy. Lead Red List and Technology Sensitive projects when requested. Support Quality, Hygiene and Manufacturing Excellence Team with supplier engagement. Assist Global Procurement Manager with strategy implementation and escalation of assigned projects. Maintain relationships with Market Procurement Managers, holding periodic meetings and creating project decks. Develop and implement procurement strategies, including data analysis and negotiation strategies. Understand North American legislations and operating contexts. Identify new capable suppliers; assess suppliers commercially and technically. Manage multiple stakeholders: Engineering, Legal, Finance, Suppliers. Participate in project meetings and lead procurement planning. Run sourcing projects: prepare, assess, and negotiate tenders (including e‑tenders). Evaluate costs regarding product life cycle, spare parts, service and consumption; conduct LCC/TCO analysis. Make decisions on supplier award and align with stakeholders. Negotiate legal documentation: Master Purchase Agreement and commercial term contracts. Ensure compliance with Schedule of Authority applicable. Analyze historical data for portfolio to define negotiation strategy. Develop and implement TMICC procurement strategies for assigned projects. Manage, advise, and oversee 7‑step sourcing projects. Support the Global Engineering team in launching new suppliers. Lead and advise on UPA/CTC negotiations with legal support. Raise and negotiate claims with portfolio suppliers. Ensure avoidance of Single Source Justification Notes. Engage strategically with suppliers, providing feedback. Qualifications & Experience Bachelor’s degree. A minimum of 8 years’ experience in a technical procurement or engineering role. Preferred procurement and/or engineering education. Superior stakeholder management skills, internally and externally. Capability to operate independently and within a large, complex organization. Experience in legal contracting, project, and relationship management. Proactive, positive team player with strong negotiation skills. Excellent written and verbal communication in English. Methodical and organized.
