Medical-Surgical Registered Nurse - $32-48 per hour

Job Title: Med Surg Nurse Part Time BJC HealthCare is seeking a Registered Nurse (RN) Med Surg for a nursing job in O'Fallon, Illinois. Responsibilities Provides direct patient care activities including assessment, diagnosis, planning, implementation, and evaluation within nursing standards. Promotes patient and family centered care in a healing environment. Educates patients and families on managing illness or injury, including post-treatment home care and medication administration. Participates in activities that promote patient safety, quality, and regulatory compliance. Engages in professional development. Develops, implements, and documents individual care plans with defined goals in collaboration with the interprofessional team and patient/family. Proactively plans and ensures communication of the care plan across the continuum of care. Uses critical nursing skills to assess and evaluate physical, psychosocial, and emotional needs according to standards of care. Assesses patient preferences and barriers, including values, emotional, spiritual, cultural, and population-specific needs. Maintains a constant state of alertness and works safely, as the position is safety-sensitive. Minimum Requirements Education: Nursing Diploma or Associate’s Degree in Nursing. License: Registered Nurse (RN). Experience: No prior experience required. Supervisor Experience: None required. Preferred Requirements Education: Bachelor’s Degree in Nursing.
