Description

• Conduct assessments for pediatric, adult, and geriatric patients using a blend of standardized assessments and observational methods.
• Craft individualized treatment plans focusing on both immediate and long-term communication, cognitive, or swallowing objectives.
• Deliver tailored speech therapy interventions addressing various aspects of communication, including fluency, voice, and swallowing.
• Engage in teamwork with physical therapists, occupational therapists, nurses, physicians, caregivers, and family members to design integrated care approaches.
• Provide education for patients and families to facilitate progress beyond therapy sessions.
• Occasionally conduct speech therapy evaluations and interventions for inpatients, guaranteeing seamless care throughout the treatment trajectory.
• Uphold meticulous documentation practices in accordance with state, federal, and organizational regulations.
• Commit to ongoing education and peer collaboration to remain at the forefront of the field.

Education

• Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited institution.
• Completion of a supervised Clinical Fellowship Year (CFY) if ASHA certification is not yet achieved.

Certifications

• State licensure as a Speech Language Pathologist .
• Preferred: Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC-SLP) from ASHA.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification must be obtained within the first 30 days of employment.
