Pride Health is hiring a Phlebotomist II to support our client's healthcare facility in Lake Worth, TX. Schedule: 745am-445pm Mon-Fri Location: Lake Worth, TX Job Type: local contract Contract Length: 2.5 months + Contract to Possible Pay Range: $18 to $22.69/hr *Pay offered is based on experience, expertise, credentialing, and education.

Key Responsibilities:

• Perform venipuncture and other specimen collections using straight and butterfly needles.
• Collect, label, process, centrifuge, split, freeze, and package specimens according to established procedures.
• Verify patient information, physician orders, requisitions, and specimen labels for accuracy.
• Explain blood draw and specimen collection procedures clearly and courteously to patients.
• Maintain specimen integrity by following proper storage, temperature, transportation, and handling protocols.
• Perform equipment maintenance, decontamination, recordkeeping, and patient information updates.
• Follow OSHA and DEP regulations and complete required annual department training.
• Answer telephone inquiries and provide laboratory results as appropriate.

Minimum Qualifications:

• High School Diploma or GED.
• 1-3 years phlebotomy experience required, inclusive of pediatric, geriatric and capillary collections.
• 2 years in a Patient Service Center environment preferred.
• Customer service in a retail or service environment highly preferred.
• Keyboard/data entry experience.
