Doctor of Pharmacy (PharmD) degree, active Pharmacist license, and minimum 1+ years Pharmacist experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered.

Step into a pivotal role supporting medication management within a Long Term Care and Mail Order environment. This position offers a contract-to-hire opportunity for a skilled pharmacist ready to contribute on a second shift schedule.

Work Schedule:

• Monday through Friday, 1:00 PM to 9:30 PM
• Rotating every third Saturday and Sunday, 9:00 AM to 5:00 PM

Key Responsibilities:

• Accept and dispense prescription medications accurately
• Monitor patient medication adherence and detect over-usage
• Ensure all medication supplies comply with legal regulations
• Advise patients on medication usage, potential side effects, and drug interactions
• Provide patient education on medical devices such as blood pressure monitors and glucose meters
• Compound medications both externally and internally, preparing sterile solutions as required
• Supervise pharmacy technicians and clerks, maintaining a smooth workflow
• Manage pharmaceutical and medical supply inventory effectively
• Collaborate with physicians, nurses, and other healthcare providers to resolve drug-related issues
• Maintain confidential patient records meticulously

Desired Qualifications:

• Active Pennsylvania pharmacy license is required
• Experience in Long Term Care pharmacy is highly advantageous
• Familiarity with Mail Order pharmacy operations is preferred
• Proficiency in sterile compounding is a plus
