Nurse Practitioner / Physician Assistant – Pain Management

Location: Queens & Bronx, New York

Employment Type: Full-Time or Part-Time

Work Setting: On-Site

Compensation: $140,000–$160,000 annually or $65–$85 per hour

Position Summary We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Nurse Practitioner (NP) or Physician Assistant (PA-C) to join a multidisciplinary pain management team. The provider will evaluate, diagnose, and treat patients with acute and chronic pain conditions using evidence-based approaches focused on improving patient function and quality of life.

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct comprehensive patient assessments, including medical histories, physical examinations, and diagnostic reviews.
• Diagnose acute and chronic pain conditions and develop individualized treatment plans.
• Prescribe and manage medications, including non-opioid analgesics and adjunctive therapies.
• Perform or assist with interventional pain procedures, as permitted by credentials and scope of practice.
• Educate patients regarding pain management strategies, medication use, lifestyle modifications, and rehabilitation.
• Collaborate with physicians, physical therapists, and other healthcare professionals.
• Refer patients to appropriate specialists when clinically indicated.
• Maintain accurate and timely documentation in the Electronic Health Record (EHR).
• Ensure compliance with applicable regulatory, clinical, and organizational standards.
• Stay current with developments, treatment options, and evidence-based practices in pain management.

Required Qualifications

• Master's or Doctorate degree in Nursing for NP candidates, or completion of an accredited Physician Assistant program.
• Active, unrestricted New York NP or PA-C license.
• DEA registration or eligibility to obtain registration.
• Current BLS or ACLS certification.
• Strong clinical judgment, communication, and patient-care skills.
• Proficiency with Electronic Health Record (EHR) systems.

Preferred Qualifications

• Board certification, such as FNP, AGNP, PMHNP, or PA-C.
• At least 1 year of pain management experience.
• Experience with interventional pain procedures.
• Experience working in a multidisciplinary healthcare environment.

Annual Compensation: $140,000–$160,000

Hourly Compensation: $65–$85 per hour
